Bespoke Shoemaking

A long-standing tradition of Altan Bottier, bespoke shoemaking has been passed down from father to son within our workshops. From the first measurement to the final shoe, we offer you a new experience: "bespoke," where the fruit of your desires takes shape and substance.

Bespoke shoemaking is the result of hard work and discussion between you, your desires, and our craftsmen. The "bespoke" experience means starting from a blank page to create the shoes of your dreams: from the last, the pattern, the choice of leather, and the patina, you are the creator.

Measuring

Measuring is the first step in the manufacturing process. An impression of your feet is taken, and up to 10 measurement points are taken. This step will then allow for the drafting of a wooden last tailored to the morphology of your feet, for a fit of unparalleled comfort.

Shoe Creation

Once the last is complete, our craftsmen will create a mock-up of the chosen last and your measurements. After a fitting and comfort check, the final production of the shoes can finally begin. After more than four months of work and a fully hand-made assembly process, your custom-made pair of shoes will be delivered to you along with their shoe trees, an exact replica of your last.

Custom-made shoemaking involves

  • An average of 80 hours of work to create a pair of shoes
  • 4 to 6-month lead time
  •    wide selection of leathers, from classic box to exotic leathers
  •    complete customization of your shoes

All the best
